Lamb Farm in the Eastern Townships named Lord of the Lamb

Not a long time ago, the owners decided in their middle age to change their life and they become producers of lambs.

The selected rams, Lords of the lambs, met DSL ewes and they join their vital strength to shape delectable lambs in Middle Earth country while pronouncing the giving birth formula :

Around one hundred of DLS and Dorset ewes and five rams (Texel, Charolais & Canadian Arcott) are living there.

The mix of these selected breeds produce high quality lambs in regards to their meat. We only use homeopathy medication for our animals. During winter time they stay in the sheepfold and during the spring and summer season they go in the pastures.

Two different ways for visiting:

Around the farm: visit of the barn, sheep center and explanations.
Duration: 1 hour
Visiting Hours: 9 am, 11 am and 2 pm from June to October.
Fee : 5$/pers. On site.

Sam's Tasting Tour: visit of the barn, sheep center and explanations and lamb meat tasting (pâtés, pies and sausages).
Duration: 2 to 3 hours
Visiting Hours: 11 am and 2 pm from June to October.
Fee : 15$/pers. Upon reservation.

Personnalized visits (with animation or adapted to your needs) are proposed to tours operators, schools, associations (cars, motorbikes, bikes, scouts, artists...)

Our one acre pond will enable you to fish trouts during summer or winter. Trouts are very tasty as they are naturally feeded.

Three ways for staying in Hotruitbourg:

Angling fishing in summer: bring your fishing rod and try to catch trouts. Trouts will be invoiced 0,35$/inch.

White (ice) fishing in winter: on the pond from January to March. An heated scandivian chalet is open to warm you. Fishing equipments are provided, no needs of fiching license. Price is 20$/person. (4 trouts) and 0,50$/inch for additional trout.

Sausages Snack: inside a cozy and warm scandinavian chalet have a nice snack while sitting in front a nice wood fire (soup, lamb sausages and salads, dessert, beuverages, bread) or «light sausages snack» (lamb sausages with beuverages and bread) in Automn or in Winter season, for groups of 8 people and more. Bring your guitar for a friendly snack!

Lamb products : various products from our farm to your kitchen. Our selected animals are inspected and carved by specialists. Meats are frozen and wrapped immediately after carving.

Non frozen meat are available upon reservation.

Living lamb: for customers with special religious needs, we will establish together the growing conditions of the reserved lambs. Contact us to place your order and be sure the lambs will grow according your needs.

Half or entire lamb: price per kilo according to market. These options are the best ones for quality-price ratio.
